Advocacy for 4 year olds

5 May

The Minnesota Montessori Network is attempting to affect policy around Dayton’s Universal Pre-k initiative. We think it’s great that he wants to increase access for low income families to afford education for 4 year olds. Now if he could only look at funding for ages 2-3 as well, that would be great. Our first struggle is to make sure families have a choice so that those who want to choose a 3-6 year old environment in a private Montessori can do so.

So far the plan does not seem to outline what KIND of educational pedagougy will be used for those 4 year olds.
